The spark: A love for vintage beauty
The Guilded Pour was born from a deep love for vintage beauty, the power of storytelling, and the joy of giving forgotten pieces a second life. There’s something incredibly special about antique china; every teacup feels like it once held stories of homes, celebrations, conversations, or quiet moments. Instead of letting these beautiful pieces sit unused or be discarded, we wanted to transform them into something both beautiful and functional once more.
We've always been drawn to cozy, nostalgic aesthetics — old books, tea rooms, florals, candlelight, heirloom pieces, and romantic vintage décor. Candle making became a way to combine all these passions into one handmade art form. What started as a creative endeavor slowly grew into The Guilded Pour: a collection of one-of-a-kind candles designed to feel elegant, comforting, and a little magical. 💕🕯️☕

The treasure hunt: Sourcing vintage china
We’ve always loved vintage pieces because they feel full of personality and history in a way modern items sometimes don’t. There’s something special about finding a teacup with delicate hand-painted florals, ornate gold detailing, or a unique shape, and imagining the stories and memories it may have once been part of. We are especially drawn to pieces that feel romantic, elegant, cozy, or a little whimsical.
Many of the teacups we use are found through antique shops, thrift stores, estate sales, secondhand finds, and incomplete or orphaned china sets that might otherwise never be used again. We love being able to carefully clean, preserve, and transform them into something that can still be appreciated and enjoyed every day. Part of the joy for us is the “treasure hunt” aspect — every cup is different, and finding the perfect scent and wax color pairing for each one is one of our favorite parts of the creative process. 💕☕🕯️
